New Business Sales Manager - Cambridge - £50k/£55k (OTE £80k)

Reporting directly to the CEO, we’re looking to add a tech-savvy, energetic and skilled New Business Sales Manager who’s excited about directly driving our revenue goals. This quota-carrying position will take accountability exclusively for new business generation in existing and new verticals including developing and implementing the regional and channel sales strategy in their assigned UK territory.
  • Delivering the multi-channel demand-generation/sales strategy for software, hardware and apps, leading the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing and achieving/exceeding the sales targets in the assigned territory utilising and extending direct, distributor, partner, agent and OEM channels
  • Hunting for new business opportunities and quickly building a solid sales pipeline and following monthly/quarterly/annual objectives and quotas
  • Ensuring visibility on all opportunities in the assigned region
  • Applying appropriate B2B/B2G software solution selling techniques (Challenger Selling preferred)
  • Presenting and demonstrating Cordic applications and solutions and assisting potential customers and partners in modelling the business case
  • Tracking prospect-related phone conversations and emails in CRM and other systems, including sales opportunities according to the defined sales process
  • Contributing to the delivery of responses to tenders, coordinating with product management and development teams
  • Providing creative, consistent, concise and accurate internal and external communications
Requirements:
  • You’re truly passionate about system, hardware and app sales and have the ability to build and maintain lasting and beneficial customer relationships
  • 2 to 5 years sales experience in a fast-paced SaaS/Cloud Solutions based software/technology business preferably serving the passenger transportation and mobility markets
  • Proficient in building healthy sales pipelines and closing complex, large-size deals with tier 1 and 2 prospects in private and public environments
  • You take ownership over your work and your customers and prospects know that you are accountable
  • Strong self-starter attitude with strong initiative and drive: Have an idea? Don’t wait for others, get started!
  • Ability to cold call customers with outstanding customer service and provide proposals and quotations:
    • You’re empathetic and know how to think like a customer; you believe that your prospect’s success is your success
    • Ability to work with minimum supervision by building sales strategies, understanding complex situations with planning and executing on action plans
    • Must have strong planning, communication and presentation skills
    • Self-starter with a strong work ethic (“getting stuff done” attitude)
    • Project management experience
    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Nice-to-haves:
  • 3+ years of outbound sales qualification or sales experience, preferably selling a SaaS system, solution or apps in a B2B/B2G environment
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms and experience with social tools
  • Proven track record of delivering results
