Quality Assurance Technologist, Gravesend, Circa £25,000, Night shift. Must have own transport
An experienced QA Technologist is required to join the team within a food process & packaging environment.  
The Quality Assurance Technologist primary focus is to ensure that accreditation and legislative requirements both for Quality/Food safety and Regulatory are met throughout all stages of the production process.
The QA Technician will conduct sampling of; raw materials in low risk/high care, finished product, shelf life samples, environmental swabs and water samples as per defined frequency. Ensuring that all relevant samples are accurately registered on the lab system prior to the lab collection for the required tests
Conduct hand swabbing to evaluate hygiene levels in production areas and take corrective actions as required
Assess the quality of raw materials  
Verification of line start-up checks and in production checks
Organisation and management of retained samples  
Verifying production paperwork on a random basis to ensure they are completed correctly
Assistance during external customer audits.
Complete GMP audits including preparation, the audit and reporting actions to follow up.
Complete Quality Systems Audits and swabbing
Generating product specifications
The successful QA Technologist will have an understanding of current Quality Management Systems including how documents are referenced. Ideally you will have HACCAP and food safety knowledge with advanced Excel skills and come from a food production background with experience within a quality role.
