Are you an experienced Fabricator Welder looking to join a company who is globally well known but still carries the family feel.  Based at their site in Prestonpans Scotland. You will have experience of sheet metal fabrication, as well as TIG & MMA welding of stainless steel, mild steel and copper.  Offering an hourly rate of £13.92 per hour + pension + holidays + a number of other benefits

The Role: 

You will be responsible for the handcrafting and forming of products to ensure production schedules are met  
Fabrication of equipment  
Sheet metal work fabrication – marking out, cutting, rolling, folding, drilling etc  
TIG and MMA welding of Stainless Steel, Mild Steel and Copper  
Reading engineering drawings 
Working safely and adhering to company policies  
Site work as and when needed (driving license required)  


Experienced sheet metal worker / fabricator / welder / pipefitter  
TIG and MMA welding experience  
Ability to adapt to new processes and practices  
Display innovative thinking and sharing ideas for continuous improvements  
Ability to work independently  
Willingness to work hard in a physically demanding environment 
Clean Driving Licence  
First Aid at work certificate would be advantageous

What came of 2018 and how has that effected the start of 2019

2018 wasn’t a particularly straightforward year, there were many factors such as Brexit - big political decisions that came with that and on top of that the media were forecasting a slowdown of UK GDP growth. All this gave the feeling of doom and gloom. Thankfully due to the great British resolve, for the most part, these factors were sidelined by businesses with the attitude of ‘We just need to get on with it, irrespective’. For us as a business it did really feel like business as usual, just with a side of caution.
