Before joining Jenrick I was working in the public sector, which was my first job after taking an 8 year break to have my two children, and after struggling with the ‘one size fits all’ model, I felt it was time to move on to a company that was smaller & more bespoke. What had attracted me to Jenrick was its individual approach to each employee, where 'the more you put in the more you get out' attitude is applied. After a few short weeks it was clear that I’d made the right decision and felt part of a busy, friendly & dynamic team.
I initially joined Jenrick as PA to Julie Alton, who is Jenrick Engineering's Managing Director - as a born organiser, this role appealed to me straight away. This is a new role in the company and I‘m at my happiest when super busy and at the bottom of a very sharp learning curve!
My skills in the role rapidly developed within the first year of being in the role and soon enough I was once again craving a new challenge within the company. I was keen to give the recruiment side a go, something I had never done before, and in January 2014 I became a Delivery Consultant for the Jenrick Engineering Burton team. That's what I love about Jenrick, there are never any barriers if you want to take your career in a new direction!
Outside of work is a steady stream of typical ‘mummsy’ stuff; I do spend an awful lot of time being a taxi driver for my two very active boys! My passion is my family & all my efforts outside of work are ploughed into them. I’m a born nurturer and love to cook & bake, and in my spare time you'll find me constantly trying out new recipes and I get a buzz from seeing friends and family enjoy my latest creations!

I know that it may sound cliché, but recruitment really is my passion. I have worked in Engineering Recruitment since 1993 and always strive to be known for providing quality recruitment solutions. In an industry where reputation is foremost, I have aimed to maintain a high-quality, honest-service approach throughout all of my roles.
In 2000 I was approached to join the Simon Holdings Group, with a view to extending their Technical Recruitment presence into the Midlands, thereby complementing the progress of their Jenrick Engineering brand in the South since 1967.
