When I was writing this profile I realised that my career has always orientated around matching people to opportunities!
For seven years I worked in estate agency, working my way up through the ranks before becoming an area manager, responsible for four branches.
However, after progressing as far as I could go, I wanted to try something new – not just a new company, but a new sector.
I have two friends that work for Jenrick and I knew how much they enjoyed their role and the working environment. Staff turnover was very low and I knew the company was genuinely committed to work/life balance, which was something I never achieved whilst in estate agency.
I am now in training to be a technical consultant, learning all about the different vacancies, candidates and sectors that Jenrick operates within. It’s a steep learning curve, but I’m enjoying it and picking up amazing advice from everyone around me.
I love watching sport of any kind, in particular football and especially Chelsea. I was very excited to see Jose Mourinho return as Manager and I’m hoping I’ll be able to make a few trips to London to watch them play throughout the season!
The Jenrick Group is regarded as one of the leading recruitment companies within the UK and is a four time "Sunday Times Top 100 Company to Work For".
I know that it may sound cliché, but recruitment really is my passion. I have worked in Engineering Recruitment since 1993 and always strive to be known for providing quality recruitment solutions. In an industry where reputation is foremost, I have aimed to maintain a high-quality, honest-service approach throughout all of my roles.
In 2000 I was approached to join the Simon Holdings Group, with a view to extending their Technical Recruitment presence into the Midlands, thereby complementing the progress of their Jenrick Engineering brand in the South since 1967.
