Before joining Jenrick, I worked for another recruitment agency for 5 years as a Permanents Consultant, predominantly covering Business support and logistical roles.
It reached the point where I was seeking a new challenge and desperately wanted to work in London. I was delighted to be approached by Trevor Lee, MD of Jenrick Commercial, who was about to open a new office based in the heart of London Bridge.
On talking to Trevor, I really liked his approach - I admired his attitude towards work and his honesty about the business. The level of trust he gives us here is great as we are able to work as hard as we can without having someone checking over our shoulders everyday! It was really refreshing to come across an agency like this.
A few interviews later, I'm delighted to say I am now working as a Permanents Consultant at Jenrick Commercial's brand new swanky London office! I've joined the London team with Sophie Pearson and Trevor Lee - it's great to start somewhere you can shape the team from day one and everyone at Jenrick have been so welcoming and friendly!
I predominately work on business and office support roles, which covers H.R., Marketing, Administration, PA, Customer Service, Sales, Finance, Management and Mid-Senior level roles. I very much enjoy freedom of being able to work for a company that doesn’t restrict you on area codes or roles, which makes work fun and interesting!
When I'm not working, I'm really into everything music. My main passion is house music which I am currently learning to DJ. I spend a lot of my free time listening to a wide genre of songs and I like to think I am very eclectic; liking everything from Motown, Soul, Reggae, Rock, Indie to local bands and lots of stuff in-between. I try to get out to live music as much as I can whether it be a festival or local pub! My aim one day is to join a jazz band to play in! I also enjoy singing and regularly spend time accompanying my dad’s band when they need a backing vocalist!
The Jenrick Group is regarded as one of the leading recruitment companies within the UK and is a four time "Sunday Times Top 100 Company to Work For".
Having been in recruitment for 15 years, in 2006 I decided to form Jenrick Commercial (a new division of The Jenrick Group) and I have to say, it’s been one hell of a ride. Recruitment has changed drastically over the last 15 years, however, I’ve learnt that if you keep things simple, work hard, be honest and really understand your clients and candidates then you will do well.
My loves in life are my wife (Miriam) and my son (Toron). I’ve been married for nearly 20 years, so I was snapped up early (my wife clearly has good taste – or at least I like to think so!).
The team has summarised their top trends from the last few weeks.
