The Ideal Candidate 

A technically adept Support Engineer with good experience in software and hardware support, ideally with experience having worked for a small-medium sized charity. Someone who is a versatile problem solver and keen to learn new technologies.

Company Description 

A leading membership-based national charity who have been established for over 100 years, with over 100,000 active members, they specialise in funding, promotion and campaigning. 

Role Description  
  • Timely response and resolution to all technical support issues raised by internal staff (around 100 users)
  • Escalating and managing technical support issues to external suppliers for on premise hardware and software, bespoke applications (eg CRM, Finance, webiste) and cloud infrastructure
  • Acting as liaison point between 3rd party technical suppliers and internal staff
  • Processing new starters/movers/leavers on systems providing IT inductions.
  • Managing access to systems – liaising with line managers, super users and product owners to ensure staff and technical suppliers have the right level of access
  • Administration of in house helpdesk software (JIRA) and helpdesk knowledge base
Experience/Skills required
  • Roll out of new IT hardware and software applications
  • PCs, Macs, laptops, tablets, physical and virtual servers and networking components
  • Anti-virus, security updates/patches
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, WSUS
  • Office365 and Mimecast
  • Remote desktop
  • Maintaining licenses and SSL certificates
  • Telephony, unified communications and Mobiles
  • MS Dynamics - desireable
