Infrastructure Architect, Global Publishing Firm
£600 – 750 per day, Kidlington, Oxfordshire

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a blue-chip digital publishing firm who are continuing to expand and evolve in the marketplace.

We are currently looking for an Infrastructure Architect to join them on an interim assignment and to assist with the global delivery of a Cloud Disaster Recovery Programme.

You will join a fast-paced, growing AWS environment and take overall responsibility for ensuring that all architecture is compliant with GDPR.

What you will be doing;
  • Driving the architecture, technology and business roadmaps for the internal GDPR Compliance Programme.
  • Evaluating and producing architecture for various internal platforms for GDPR and defining patterns to ensure that teams meet the requirements for Privacy by Design in GDPR.
  • Documenting Standards and Best Practices for AWS Hosted Services to ensure GDPR compliance.
  • Leading and coaching development teams to remediate their Cloud hosted applications, in line with Disaster Recovery Plans and Application Tiering Model.
The experience you will need to have;
  • Understanding microservice architectures.
    Understanding Continuous integration/Deployment toolchains.
    AWS Architecture qualifications.
  • Understand Compliance requirements for Privacy by Design in GDPR.
  • Experience with architecting AWS Services, for resilience to achieve defined RPO and RTO targets.
    Experience with a plurality of the operating systems: AWS, Windows, Linux
    Experience in multiple programming language(s) such as Java, Node.js, Scala, C#, or others
