The Role

Based out of Reading, the overall remit of the Hybris Developer is to ensure the organisation optimally applies modern technology to evolve its business through a set of technology services consumed inside and outside the company through an API-First approach. The organisation are undergoing a huge digital transformation and looking to rebrand a number of their global customer facing websites on the Hybris Platform. You will be a hands-on development engineer who will work on a portfolio of digital projects and proofs of concept with the ultimate goal of enabling high-velocity innovation, the speed of delivery and exponential growth beyond traditional business models.

This role reports to the Head of DevOps

Skills & Experience Required
  • Degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experienced in developing software on a Hybris platform or PIM
  • At least Five years of experience in programming front end and back end, Java and Spring
  • Desireable skills would be Apache SOLR, Groovy, Scala, Apache Commons, ZK Infrastructure, Google Analytics, Jasper Reports, Tomca
Desireable Skills & Experience
  • Experience in Docker compose, Docker swarm, Kubernetes, Google Kubernetes Engine , along with cloud platforms like Azure and GCP is a must.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with managing, setting up, and provisioning projects in Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (e.g. Jenkins, CircleCI etc.);
  • Knowledge on popular TDD, BDD Testing Frameworks (Jest, Mocha/Chai/Should.js, Enzyme,)
  • Hands-on experience in provision tools like terraform, Ansible would be an added advantage.
  • Experienced in API development, Microservices Architecture, Service Mesh Architecture, Contention/Priority management
  • Experience in agile development (SCRUM, Kanban) and implementation of digital platforms and product marketplaces.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in development of DevOps and automation solutions to streamline the development process;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience setting up Git repositories for projects, managing multiple projects’ workflows, and troubleshooting complex issues with Git;
  •  Minimum of 2 years of experience with Jira/Confluence;
