We are seeking an experienced Head of PMO with strong experience leading a small PMO team within a large enterprise managing complex IT and Business delivery across our digital transformation portfolio.  You will be responsible for the ownership and day to day running of the Enterprise Portfolio Office, working with all the other IT functions such as Solutions Delivery, Service Delivery, Enterprise Architecture, Business Solutions, Analytics and Insights and Security and Compliance. Through this engagement a picture of IT delivery risks and proposed mitigations, together with the planning needed to put those mitigations in place will form the responsibility of this role.

You will ensure that the global PMO function delivers on strategic objectives, creating business value and capabilities rapidly and effectively across multiple geographies. You will provide portfolio management and governance, delivering insights via reporting, financial processes adherence and owning and deploying our delivery methodology.

You will be responsible for development, ownership and management of our project demand toolset covering;
  • Contribution to to the time, cost and delivery of projects and programmes through clear and objective reporting of programme status.
  • Ensuring the adoption of tools and methods associated with project and programme delivery.
  • Providing insight into how the performance of the IT function can be improved based on agreed KPI’s.
  • Maximising the benefits delivered through IT programmes based through effective change management.

Skills required;
  • Demonstrable management and leadership experience in a similar Head of or Senior PMO role within a complex enterprise. 
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills. Able to build strong partnerships at executive level.
  • Leadership skills, including ability to influence without authority and collaboration.
  • Strong financial management and budgeting experience.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills.
  • Comfortable working within a changing, fast paced environment.
  • Strong PMO based career.
  • Strong status, risks, change control, planning, portfolio & demand management experience.
  • Experienced in complex IT Delivery.
