Production Shift Manager to join the team working within a FMCG company.
Monday - Friday, back shift. £30,000
Oxfordshire
 
The Production Shift Manager will lead and manage a team of mixed operators and be responsible for:

Actively control the rotation and allocation of product to optimise efficiency and reduce waste
Work closely with the engineering team, agree and implement improvements to the process to maximise machine productivity, minimise down-time and ensure that hygiene operations do not impact negatively on machinery
Plan production runs to minimise waste, maximise product life.
Drive product quality, integrity and traceability.
Ensure work is completed to a high-standard, and all necessary documentation is completed
Adopt a “Right First Time” approach
Conduct performance reviews of the production team,  and report feedback to the Site Director
Identify areas of inefficiency and waste
Be proactive with continuous improvement ideas and projects
Undertake risk assessments/ accident investigations in the department as appropriate
To be “audit-ready” at all times
Play an active role in third party audits where required
 
The successful Production Shift Manager will be experienced in managing a team of operators within a FMCG environment .
