An exceptional manufacturing business based in the Huddersfield area are seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to work on a contract basis for a six month duration.  Working from home until January 2021 but with the option to work on site if unable to accommodate this.

In anticipation of Brexit the department is growing to ensure business import and export compliance is in order and avoid any potential violations in a changing market.

The Trade Compliance Analyst role:

- Research and monitor local laws, regulations, procedures and applicable benefits related to import / export transactions

- Monitor import / export activity for all business units in the assigned geography

- Gathers, enters, and manages import/export data

- Administrate import / export licenses; draft applications for licenses and registrations in the country of assignment; submits applications, including those with applicable benefits, upon review by supervisor and monitors approval process with appropriate governmental contacts.

- Responsible for managing and maintaining controlled processes including: tariff code             classification, record keeping, country of origin and preferential trade calculations.

The successful Trade Compliance Analyst Candidate:

- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal and confident doing so both over the phone and on Email.

- MUST have initial trade or brokerage experience (basics of import / export or a prior experience within supply chain.  

- Confident user of Microsoft packages with a particular emphasis on Excel.  You should be confident using the likes of VLOOKUP and filters.

- Strong attention to detail and an ability analyse complex information to draw conclusions.

What came of 2018 and how has that effected the start of 2019
