Are you a Technical Support Engineer with extensive knowledge of Multi axis CNC Lathes? Looking for a new challenge, working for a leading Machine Tool Manufacturer based in Derby? I am looking for an experienced Engineer who can diagnose machine and control faults remotely.  Offering a salary of £35-40K + bonus + Pension + Holidays + company car + private healthcare.

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will:

Report to the Service Manager
Provide day to day support to the service / spare departments
Provide customer support via telephone and email
Arrange Engineer visits to customer sites
Generate internal work sheets
Generate service contracts
Manage the delivery and collection of repair equipment
Manage suppliers and sub contractors
Generate support documentation for the service department

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will have the following experience:

Experienced Technical Support Engineer with extensive knowledge of multi axis Lathes
Experience of being office based and remotely diagnosing Machine and Control faults
Strong Mechanical and Electrical knowledge
Fanuc Controls knowledge
Effective time management with strong communication skills are essential
IT skills
Self motivated

What came of 2018 and how has that effected the start of 2019

2018 wasn’t a particularly straightforward year, there were many factors such as Brexit - big political decisions that came with that and on top of that the media were forecasting a slowdown of UK GDP growth. All this gave the feeling of doom and gloom. Thankfully due to the great British resolve, for the most part, these factors were sidelined by businesses with the attitude of ‘We just need to get on with it, irrespective’. For us as a business it did really feel like business as usual, just with a side of caution.

Jenrick Engineering Burton have enjoyed an extremely busy start to the year – with the amount of available jobs up by  23%, and an increase of new clients up by 10% for the same period of 2017. Due to an increase of investment in various sectors within engineering and manufacturing, businesses are recruiting more people to help cover the demand of the increased number of contracts that have been on the rise in the last 18 months.
