An Exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales and Applications Engineer to join a  market leading “Work Holding” manufacturing business based within the Midlands area.

The Role

- To Facilitate the Company’s overall objective of profitable growth by achieving agreed personal sales targets.

- To service and support the existing customer base within the market sector, in the assigned geographical sales area.

To develop new customer contacts in the market sector by marketing activities including developing direct and indirect sales.

- Establish new accounts through customer calls and follow up of marketing initiatives.

- Work together with customers to provide a technical solution to meet their needs.

- Represent the Company, in a sales capacity to clients, and when required be the Company representative maintaining a professional and appropriate manner at all times.

- Use and present products and services in a creative manner.

- Accurately specify and price sales proposals to meet customer requirements.

- Prepare sales proposals and present them with confidence and efficiency.

Achieve agreed sales target.

- Liaise and communicate with other Rohm personnel in a timely, professional manner, providing relevant, adequate and concise information where required.

- Gain and maintain a thorough and up to date knowledge of Company products, services and their application.

- Ensure commercial awareness and knowledge of competitors offerings.

- Maintain, complete and update Company data and other records.

- Ensure precise  reports are produced and regular communication

The Candidate

- Engineering / Technical background

- Preferably gained from within the “work holding”, machine tool or cutting industry.

- Ability to provide a technical solution to new and existing customers.

- Visual design ability

- Results driven and customer focused

- Negotiation and Presentation Skills

- Results orientated

- Customer service skills

- Commercial awareness

- Attention to detail and Effective time management

- Ability to work on own initiative

- Computer skills – Microsoft Office applications

- Effective verbal and written communication
