A highly recognisable name in fresh food products is recruiting NOW for a QA Assistant to join their facility in the Lichfield area on an ongoing temporary basis – it is expected that this role will last for six months and this will be reviewed on a month by month basis.  In return for working 8 hour days – Sunday to Thursday, I am offering the PAYE rate of £11.55 per hour. This is a time critical role with an asap start – please ‘apply now’ to express an interest.

Job Description

As a QA Assistant you will be responsible for the following:  

- Day to day support into the quality team
- Inspection of incoming raw material
- Inspection of final product ready for release
- Send samples and review findings against specifications
- Raise non-conformance issues and follow quarantine processes
- Support the quality team with customer complaints / quality issues

The QA Assistant role requires candidates with experience / skills / background in:

- Previous QA experience in a food environment
- Experience or understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- An understanding of BRC
- Confident communicator

What came of 2018 and how has that effected the start of 2019

2018 wasn’t a particularly straightforward year, there were many factors such as Brexit - big political decisions that came with that and on top of that the media were forecasting a slowdown of UK GDP growth. All this gave the feeling of doom and gloom.
