An excellent manufacturing business with huge character, a genuine desire to create a nice workplace and a history of real success is seeking to recruit a New Product Development and Innovation Manager to join them on a Permanent basis!

This NPD and Innovation manager role will be responsible for a team developing and innovating market leading products which continue the business success within future generations.  Your team will be providing support and advice to the manufacturing team to improve quality and efficiency whilst satisfying the sales and marketing team to meet product growth plans.


The New Product Development and Innovation Manager Role:

-          Effectively lead the New Product Development team, Process Support and Innovation teams through from day to day to strategic planning understanding resource management and measuring performance.

-          The NPD and Innovation Manager will create and maintain an open and honest environment where your team can thrive on positivity and ‘can do’ attitudes are the norm.

-          You will be accountable for the development of new Products, production processes, materials and technologies to support the company strategic plans.

-          Support the Manufacturing team with the identification and implementation of cost saving projects through formula optimisation.

-          Assist with the resolution of Technical issues within manufacturing or fed back from customer defects and improvement opportunities.


The Successful New Product Development and Innovation Manager:

-          A proven track record at senior level, leading a Technical Team within the development of a manufactured product (Ideally some exposure to a chemical based product)

-          Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to coach and include naturally.

-          Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

-          Strong understanding of Management systems and experience of working within a regulated industry.

-          Demonstrable Business and Commercial skills.
