An excellent business with a reputation to match and a product portfolio which places them as one of the largest manufacturers within their industry is recruiting for a Lead Controls and instrumentation Engineer to join the already successful team in Milton Keynes.    
   
The Lead Controls and instrumentation Engineer will analyse and diagnose process problems and involve others to ensure appropriate actions are put into place in a collaborative manner.   

 
The Lead Controls and instrumentation Engineer Role:    


- The Controls and Instrumentation Engineer will be a focal point for the investigation and development of solutions to complex manufacturing plant problems.  

- Improvement activities surrounding the development or maintenance of PLC  & SCADA systems.  

- Working on a project basis, this controls role will require justification and approval of spending whilst ensuring an efficient and cost effective solution.  

- Development of Electrical and instrumentation scopes of work for modification to process and equipment on site.  

- Support modified machinery commissioning and start up



The Successful Lead Controls and instrumentation Engineer candidate:  
 
- Experienced within a manufacturing sector (Automotive, general engineering, FMCG, Food, Plastics, Packaging)

- Qualified to a minimum of HNC level within an instrumentation or Electrical Engineering Subject.

- Proven experience within a similar role and strong knowledge surrounding Electrical, instrumentation and PLC Engineering.

- You will be calm under pressure, adapting to different situations and able to work with others through tense situations whilst working towards a shared objective.
