We are recruiting NOW for an experienced Good In Inspector to join a privately owned family business with an outstanding reputation for employee retention at their Alfreton Distribution Centre.

As part of their quality control team, the Goods In Inspector will be responsible for Inspection and Testing of incoming goods to ensure that products have been manufactured to the relevant standards and to ensure that all components function correctly:

As the Goods In Inspector you will:

  1.  Check packaging of products to ensure correct products are in the right package.
  2.  Check parts against parts list.
  3.  Check Electrical parts function correctly.
  4.  Check Mechanical parts function correctly.
  5.  Conduct safety checks on products.
  6.  Identity faults and report to Quality Control who will handle rectifying issues.
  7.  Conduct PAT testing
  8.  Use of Vernier Calipers for measuring of components.

You will be able to demonstrate the following:

  1. Previous experience in an inspection role within a White Good, or Consumer Goods       Environment.
  2. Have a good understanding of mechanical and electrical components.
  3. PAT Testing experience would be advantageous
  4. Ability to use hand tools, and Vernier Calipers.
  5. Computer Literate
  6. Good working ethic and team working skills

2018 wasn’t a particularly straightforward year, there were many factors such as Brexit - big political decisions that came with that and on top of that the media were forecasting a slowdown of UK GDP growth. All this gave the feeling of doom and gloom. Jenrick Engineering Burton have enjoyed an extremely busy start to the year – with the amount of available jobs up by  23%, and an increase of new clients up by 10% for the same period of 2017.
