A well-established manufacturing company based in the Northampton area are looking for a Field Technical Operator to join their team.

This role will suit candidates who pick up new skills quickly and have the flexibility to work primarily over weekends and bank holidays (Days and Nights) 

The Field Technical Operator role:

- Travel to customer sites and liaise with on site contacts

- Assist with the loading and unloading of site maintenance machinery.

- Work with machinery on site to perform high quality repairs.

- Driving special purpose machinery on site, operating machinery remotely.

- Representing the company with the customer you should always be presentable, an excellent communicator and flexible to meet customer needs.

- Where your core hours (40 per week) are not met through travelling to site and completing weekend works, you will attend the Northampton site to complete work within the workshop.

The Successful Field Technical Operator Candidate:

- The ideal field Technical Operator will be able to operate Machinery with a level of finesse and have an awareness of site health and safety.

- Experienced with the operation of machinery within a high risk environment and ideally remotely operated.

- Confident of completing some on site documentation.

- The Service Engineer will ideally come from one of the following backgrounds; manufacturing, Special purpose machinery Maintenance, Forklift Maintenance, JCB or off highway maintenance,. (other industries would be considered)

Hours –          

40 hours per week (travel included)
Company Van/pension/healthcare
20 days Holiday + Bank Holidays
