A leading national Food manufacturer is recruiting for a Contract Maintenance Engineer to work a Mon to Fri 5am-1:30pm/1:30pm-10pm for an hourly rate of £30ph Ltd at their Lancashire based Facility. The Contract Maintenance Engineer will have a proven track record within a food/FMCG environment and have experience reactive and preventative maintenance.

Job Description   

As a Contract Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for the following:   

- Carrying out Planned & Reactive Maintenance on equipment such as:

- Conveyors/ Handling Equipment  

- Packaging machinery

- Food processing machinery

All applicants must have a time served fully indentured apprenticeship (or equivalent) and have worked within a manufacturing environment.

What came of 2018 and how has that effected the start of 2019

2018 wasn’t a particularly straightforward year, there were many factors such as Brexit - big political decisions that came with that and on top of that the media were forecasting a slowdown of UK GDP growth. All this gave the feeling of doom and gloom. Jenrick Engineering Burton have enjoyed an extremely busy start to the year – with the amount of available jobs up by  23%, and an increase of new clients up by 10% for the same period of 2017. Due to an increase of investment in various sectors within engineering and manufacturing, businesses are recruiting more people to help cover the demand of the increased number of contracts that have been on the rise in the last 18 months.
