As the Testing Project Manager for this market leading International Test organisation, you will play a key role in developing and leading work programmes focused on Distribution Testing. Involved right from the initial Customer enquiry, you will use your knowledge of scientific principles to ensure you understand the Clients commercial drivers & technical issues, developing that enquiry into standard and value adding technical testing solutions.

Once your proposal has secured the Clients project, you will work with the internal project Test teams including the Lab Technicians, who will undertake the testing and record all test results which you will utilise when writing your Client’s report.

Interested Candidates will require the following Skills & Experience:
  • A technical degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a testing environment, technical role or project management role, preferably from within the packaging industry.
    Alternatively, significant experience in a technical position gained within the packaging/logistics industry, with project management experience, would also suffice.
  • Good commercial awareness to support the team in creating new business initiatives and delivering to client expectations.
  • Good communication skills including written English
Other Duties Include:

Delivering projects that can vary from one day assignments through to month long studies incorporating a range of tests and analyses on multiple sample sets. The role includes overseeing and managing the involvement of multiple team members on a project basis.

Overseeing testing projects for clients and team members (ensuring activities are in alignment with objectives, executed within budget, clients are updated & issues resolved).


Taking responsibility to plan, prioritise and administer specific projects in the laboratory together with providing good communication to clients on project progress, updating them with results as work progresses and managing sample handling.


Ensuring your internal teams have a clear understanding of specific projects requirements and providing technical support, identifying and capturing results including monitoring work progress & ensuring the project is delivered to agreed timescales.


Supporting the Laboratory Manager with assessing and implementing training requirements and H&S policy and working with management to ensure the laboratory is working in compliance to ISO 17025 quality standards.


Providing support to the whole laboratory team in the delivery of high value, high quality results, observations, conclusions and recommendations to clients.
