As a Senior Integration Developer within this major Financial Services organisation based in central London, you will inspire & guide Integration Developers within a recently created Digital function that has already proved hugely successful in providing the company’s millions of customers with the very best online & mobile experiences for their Financial Services solutions & products.

Requiring Core Java, SOAP Web Services, XML & ETL tools experience, other technologies can be learned on the job including integrating orientated microservices exposing RESTful API's, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Apache Camel, Red Hat Openshift & Docker but those already enjoying those skills will also build on their knowledge & expertise.

Committed to utilising the best technologies with a strong focus on Java, Microservices & API’s, the Senior Integration Developer will drive the pace to deliver Integration services for projects & technology based initiatives across the organisations various divisions.

Current Core Skills Required:
  • Strong core Java development skills
  • Experience working with databases ie SQL Server, Oracle etc
  • Experience of SOAP web services, REST or JSON
  • Experience of ETL tools
  • TDD, unit testing & integration testing
  • XML
  • Agile including Pair Programming
  • Experience of working with customers, understanding business requirements etc
Preferable Skills But Can Be Learned On The Job Include
  • Experience of creating integration orientated microservices exposing Restful API’s
  • Knowledge of Spring Framework & Spring Boot
  • Experience of delivering production solutions with Apache Camel or Red Hat Openshift
  • Exposure to container orchestration platforms ie. Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
  • Experience of Financial Services, Insurance, Pensions, Investments, useful but not essential
  • Familiarity with Linux is beneficial
Your Focus:

Working with a team of Developers to deliver integration solutions for various products using microservices architecture and Java as the dominant development platform, whilst always looking to use the best tool for the job. The team is following the DevOps philosophy and uses Red Hat OpenShift container orchestration platform for delivering working solutions to various businesses across the Group. Most of the integration services have public facing API elements which you will learn to design and build.
