We are looking fro someone with a solid background within strategic procurement operations, preferably in a multi-site organisation. You will need to be experienced in Procurement to Pay.


Role details
  • Experienced in Procurement to Pay systems and processes
  • Functional lead for Procurement to Pay teams in identified company sites
  • Procurement lead for mid-range sourcing activities for EMEA; primarily for Indirect spend categories
  • Manage team of buyers and P2P admin to deliver Procurement objectives and fulfil business requirements; IT, Engineering, Finance, HR, Marketing, External Consultancies, Suppliers/Customers
  • Become the global lead on P2P processes and identify and introduce best practice P2P processes that can be deployed to identified company sites
  • Introduce new P2P system to reflect best practice processes
  • Work closely with commercial and operations leaders, Project Management Teams and local company offices to achieve operational objectives - cost, quality, service
  • Manage team of Buyers and apply well defined sourcing processes - supplier evaluation, selection and performance reporting, contract negotiation, price inflation management, metrics deployment etc for mid-range sourcing activities (£50k to £250k) for primarily Indirect category spend
  • Provide in-country lead advice in mediation and problem resolution relating to suppliers, time lines, and contracts/agreement interpretation
  • Senior Member of the Central Procurement Team

Essential Experience:
  • MCIPS, ISM or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in strategic procurement operations, preferably in multi-site organisations
  • Track record of delivery in this type of role in cross-cultural, cross-functional environments
  • SAP systems and operating know-how for procurement-related modules
  • Able to negotiate key contract terms for indirect categories with input from the legal team
  • Strong procurement team management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Experience of change management and business process improvement
  • Willingness to travel and be away from home on a regular basis
  • High level analytical, verbal and written presentation skills
  • To have worked in engineering-led sectors. Industry type not important, but must have worked in both high volume, low variety and low volume high variety operations
