After an extremely intensive week of presentations, meetings and networking events The Jenrick IT DSEI 2013 Team have all returned to the office having assisted a multitude of Forces Personnel with their career transition to the Private Sector, coupled with advising companies on how to consistently deliver their cyber security projects on time and on budget. For those of you reading this who attended DSEI 2011, you’ll remember that Jenrick’s name rapidly spread throughout the Halls due to a unique (and highly amusing) giveaway, namely a green hand grenade (the stress toy variety!). With a reputation firmly established, we had to ensure that DSEI 2013 kicked off in similar fashion… which it did, this time with a cartoon style ACME bomb, which were even more popular than the hand grenades! The message communicated by our stand was focused and clear – we were there to advise companies on how to ensure their cyber security technology projects were delivered on time and on budget. Over the last twelve months, this has been a constant topic of conversation with our Clients; as such we knew it would be a key point of discussion at the exhibition. Our team held a number of focused meetings over the first three days, all orientated around this topic, with companies able to gain a valuable insight into how to obtain, deploy and retain contract and permanent resource in order for them to achieve their goals. Day three of DSEI 2013 culminated in our company delivering a Keynote Address in the Security Theatre. This was targeted at assisting Armed Forces personnel gain a much more complete understanding of the career opportunities available to them in the Private Sector and how they can make a successful transition between these two, very different, working environments. Overall, the event was a resounding success with our team forming a number of relationships with potential clients and candidates within this specialised sector.
