Jenrick congratulates Bonita after reaching the North Pole from 89* by skiing and pulling a pulk with all her stuff in, all in aid of The Forces Children's Trust. In the extract below, Bonita explains her reasons for choosing to raise money for this charity.

Hi All, My VocaLink North Pole Challenge started on the 31st March and I will be gone for around a month while I try to reach the North Pole from 89* by skiing and pulling a pulk with all my stuff in it. The aim of the challenge is to raise money, with my sponsor VocaLink, for an amazing charity that we saw featured on The Sun's Military Awards in December - the Forces Children's Trust. The Forces Children's Trust supports families who have lost a parent in the British Armed Forces. The people they support are toddlers right through to adults- all who have lost perhaps their mother or father in Iraq, Afghanistan or even closer to home. The money raised on here and through the people who top up their mobile phones at ATMs (very easy- try it if you haven't already) will go towards councelling, days out and regular opportunities for bereaved families to come together and support one another. We are hoping to smash our target of £10k for this charity. We did it last year for Global Angels whilst i was on Everest- so your support did add up, and it will do again if you can support us in anyway. All donations go to the FCT, VocaLink has sponsored the expedition and are facilitating a 5p donation for every Mobile Phone Top-Up at an ATM, during the months of March and April 2011. Thanks to VocaLink, MPTU and YourCash for their amazing support and for making fundraising expeditions like this possible. Wish me luck! Hopefully will be standing on top of the world around April 11th 2011.
